Recognising the good and the bad…

Liemur was formed in 2002 by Sylvain Liege and Cliff Murphy. As former, senior IT consultants at Valtech they were already well versed in the emerging Object Oriented technology, Unified Process and Agile methodologies.

Prior to their time there they had begun to notice negative commonalities between a wide range of projects - clients were experiencing similar challenges - shortfalls in requirements, bad communication and processes that increased costs and overran deadlines. It was here that the Project Cycle Optimisation ™ model was seeded and began to take shape.

Hard skills and soft skills, people and technology have to work efficiently together, otherwise sub-standard outcomes are real possibilities

The Founders…

Sylvain Liege is French, has a PhD in Computer Science from Nantes University. His early commercial experience was gained in the financial sector and he is fluent in English and Hungarian. Read Sylvain's Blog.

Cliff Murphy is English, with a first degree in Physics and Electronics from Southampton University. He started his career developing real-time software in industry and his passion for rugby has led him to become a fully qualified coach.
