Introduction to Java Technology
The IJT course provides an overview of Java technologies, focusing on Java operating principles, and how it can fit into your existing architecture.
This one day overview of Java technologies discusses what the Java platform
is and is not. This course has no hands-on exercises and can be attended
by anyone interested in Java. This course does not require a technical
background.

• Explain the motivation for the Java platform
• Describe how Java operates and how developers create solutions
on the Java platform
• Explain how Java differentiates from previous object oriented
languages (such as C++)
• Describe the different editions of Java
• Explain what J2EE is, what components is exposes, and how it supports
distributed layered applications

Stakeholders, managers, business analysts, system analysts, developers,
test and support teams wishing to understand
the key features of the Java platform and editions.

• No knowledge of object orientation is required
• No programming experience is required
